BC Ferries Terminals

BC Ferries new vessels BC Ferries is the most popular way for people to get off and on Vancouver Island. BC Ferries has two terminals that offer Vancouver Island ferry service: Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen. Horseshoe Bay is located in West Vancouver and most people find it the best option to get to the central Vancouver Island region due to easy access from Trans Canada Highway 1 and because it's a short 1.5 hour sailing to the Nanaimo ferry terminal at Departure Bay.

BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal offering Vancouver Island ferries service to Duke Point, Nanaimo

BC Ferries Tsawwassen terminal offers service to Nanaimo's Duke Point terminal with a 2 hour sailing. Some find Tsawwassen a less attractive option due to longer sailings and because it's more difficult to access. Tsawwassen is a good choice, however, if travelling from Washington State or from Greater Vancouver's southern communities of Richmond and White Rock.
