Please note, there are no lifeguards on duty at provincial parks.

1. Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park

After a low tide with waters receding almost a kilometre, the ocean rolls back in over sun-baked sand. The result is unbeatable warm ocean swimming!

2. Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park

Check out the Falls then take a dip in the river near the campgrounds at this spectacular BC Provincial Park. Note: 75 metres above the Middle Falls Bridge to the downstream park boundary below the Lower Falls Bridge is closed to swimming. Other areas in the park may be closed to swimming during high water periods. Check the park information shelters for swimming closure information.

Cameron Lake's beach is the best bet to cool off in this park!

3. Englishman River Falls Provincial Park

A crystal-clear pool at the base of a waterfall - sound like a place to scratch one off your bucket list? Then head to the lower falls at Englishman River Falls on a hot Summer day!

4. Spider Lake Provincial Park

Spider Lake's warm waters are ideal for lake swimming. Pack a picnic and lawn chairs and spend the day with family and friends.

5. Rosewall Creek Provincial Park

There is no designated swimming area at this BC Provincial Park but when water levels are low, there are good opportunities for swimming in river pools.

6. Jedediah Island Marine Provincial Park

Jedediah Island is located between Lasqueti and Texada Islands, accessible by boat. Sandy bays, particularly on the northeast side of the park, offer good ocean swimming opportunities.
