Cathedral Grove (MacMillan Provincial Park)
A spur of the moment trip to Cathedral Grove was maybe one of our best stops. To see and imagine what these 800 year old trees have experienced is really mind boggling. Julia said it's like Jurassic Park in here. Even when we got out of the car, the air is so wet and cold. It's like you've been transported to a different world. A natural treasure and something that has to be experienced in person.

September 5, 2017 - Englishman River Estuary The Tuesday bird walk went to the Shelly Road side of the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville. The morning was cloudy and smoky with a light breeze off the Strait of Georgia. We spotted a Barred Owl as it moved along the forest. It stopped to look us over, giving us great views.
