Coffee Lovers
Top notch coffee is as plentiful as sandy beaches in the Parksville and Qualicum Beach region. Baileys in the Village and Lefty's are perfect places to take a break from power shopping all the quaint specialty stores in the Qualicum Beach village.
Lefty's offers great coffee to go along with their famous baking after a delicious meal. Karma Coffee is what you'll be poured at Lefty's restaurants and you can find their locally roasted coffee at retailers throughout the region such as Thrifty Foods in Parksville and Quality Foods in Nanoose, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach.
Need your Starbucks fix? Starbucks Coffee has a convenient location along the Island Highway in Parksville and is also served at Quality Foods' "Step Above" cafe located at their Qualicum Beach store.
Serious Coffee is the newest stop on the Oceanside coffee trail with its flagship store on the Island Highway just steps from Rathtrevor Beach and Resort Drive. Serious Coffee Parksville is one of many locally-owned franchises that can be found only on Vancouver Island. They have their own coffee roasting plant and bakery located in Duncan, BC. They are committed to "just-in-time" roasting which means that their coffee isn't roasted until it is ordered and then shipped to the cafes the next day, making it the freshest coffee available.
In addition to Serious Coffee's delicious specialty coffees, matcha, chai and more, they have included in their selection of beans, options such as fairly-traded, organic or both. As a complimentary service and a way to ensure that your coffee tastes as delicious at home as it does in their stores, they will happily grind your beans to the precise requirements of your home brewer or you may purchase them in whole bean form.
Serious Coffee also prides themselves on their selection of loose, bagged and blossoming teas. To round out their service, we serve in-store-baked brioche, muffins, tarts and cookies, just to name a few, along with lunch and light supper options. They offer a "you-won't-believe-it's-sugar-free" Lemon Cookie and are very excited to announce that soon we will have two Celiac-friendly snacks, a Poppy Seed Cake and Gingerbread Cookie made by an Island bakery called Laughing Daughters Bakery.
