Back again for the 11th year! This popular mix of vaudeville, music and comedy with a touch of burlesque all performed by local talents. For adults only. Coffee and treats will be served. Tickets are $25 - they will be sold on Sunday, January 25th from 1pm to 3 pm in the hall. There is a limit of 4 tickets each.

This course introduces basic first aid and how to respond to emergency situations, explains basic baby and child care, and offers advice on becoming a responsible babysitter: developing confidence, creating safe environments, even tips for finding babysitting jobs. The Coldest Night of the Year is a fantastically fun, family-friendly walking fundraiser that raises money for the hungry, homeless and hurting in 65 communities across Canada. This walk is being brought to Oceanside by Island Crisis Care Society, who provides shelter and care for those in need in both Nanaimo and Oceanside. All money raised through the Oceanside Walk will stay in the Oceanside area.

The 2, 5 and 10km walk is held on Saturday, February 21st, 2015, and provides participants the opportunity to experience a hint of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessn...more info
