Come join Bowser Seniors Housing Society and celebrate St. Paddy's. Our first Kitchen Ceilidh was a great success. Once again you will be able to dance and listen to the great music of Celtic Chaos and enjoy an Irish Dinner. We will also be holding a dessert auction. Tickets are $35.00 which includes dinner and are available from the Mulberry Bush Book Stores in Parksville and Qualicum and from Georgia Park Store and Salish Sea Market in Bowser. To reserve a table of 8 or 10, please call 250 757 8117. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Bringing Rodeo back with Backstage Whiskey. A fundraiser to help bring rodeo events back to coombs. This dance is put on by Vancouver Island Western Heritage organization and features amazing New country band Backstage Whiskey. Tickets $15 and free camping available.

Brant Wildlife Festival Herring Spawn/Wildlife Boat Tour 2. View birds and wildlife as well as hopefully herring spawn from a boat departing from the Deep Bay Marine Field station. This is a 16 hour course that includes training in cardio pulmonary resuscitation level C, automated external defibrillation, injury prevention, first aid treatment of shock, bleeding, broken bones and more. Vintage Fashion Show and Tea. It seems Qualicum is a hot-bed of Vintage Fashion. On Saturday March 14th Merlyn Patten will be thrilling an audience with more of her amazing vintage gowns in “A Hundred Years of Fashion”. It’s going to be combined with a delicious tea at St. Stephen’s church at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Fresh and Fabulous Gifts and Flowers, 3-210 Second Avenue in Qualicum. All proceeds will be going to support YoungLife in Qualicum Beach.
