Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental Test Ranges Open House

The Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges (CFMETR) opens its gates once a year and invites the public to tour naval vessels, climb aboard army vehicles, check out a helicopter or take the kids on zodiac rides!

Food concession provided by the Qualicum Beach Legion. Ample parking is available at CFMETR - please do not park on Fairwinds Drive. No pets are permitted.

Parkinson SuperWalk is the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC). Over 20 communities across the province organize walks during the weekend of September 9th ? 10th, and 16th while raising money for research and support services through individual pledges and corporate sponsorships. This year, our goal is to attract over 2,400 walkers and raise at least $460,000 in BC. If you've been thinking about trying Zentangle(R), or you want to get back into it, there are a number of classes coming up at the MAC that will fit the bill. Certified Zentangle Teacher Rhonda Roy will be teaching four classes this fall at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville.

Zentangle Basics - September 9th (10-1) is a three-hour introduction to the Zentangle method. Even people who think they can't draw enjoy learning about Zentangle, and they are pleasantly surprised at what they can do. Zentangle Basics is a prerequisite for all the other classes.
