This incredible provincial park has it all, expansive sandy beach, wooded
trail with old growth trees, day-use area for picnicking and a sought-after
campground. A large number of seabirds also enjoy the area making bird
watching a popular activity.
Four kilometres of curving, postcard-perfect sand gives the town of Qualicum Beach its name. When the tide is high, sightseers, bikers, hikers and their dogs keep to dry ground by utilizing the paved promenade that fronts one of Vancouver Island and BC's
Parksville Community Park, is home to a remarkable sandy Parksville Beach, a kid's wonderland of swings, slides and water cannons in addition to great picnicking and beachfront activities.
Wonderful though the oceanfront may be, the beaches found at our many rivers and lakes are perfect for cooling off on a hot day or for a quiet hike.
