Spider Lake Provincial Park

Find peace and quiet at this popular spot for fishing and swimming.

Make A Splash

The placid surface of Spider Lake Provincial Park, just off Horne Lake Road, is disturbed only by the occasional splash of paddles and the arched leaps of small-mouth bass as they chase insects and fishing lures.

Bass are unusual on Vancouver Island where salmon and trout are king. Relatively easy to catch, they cook up quick and tasty over a campfire.

A big, sandy beach area near the parking lot is a central spot to hang out, swim or simply watch the action. Best of all, Spider Lake is off-limits to all motorized boats. That means the peace is only likely to be broken by the sound of happy laughter and the cheers of anglers.

Check out the BC Parks Spider Lake Provincial Park page for complete amenity details.
