Shane Koyczan, celebrated Spoken Word Artist, will perform in Knox United Church in Parksville on June 5th at 7:30 pm. Shane is well-known for his poem "To This Day", which is also a TED Talk. He also participated in the opening of the Vancouver Olympics with "We Are More". This event is a fundraiser for the Ali Refugee Sponsorship Group. The group is bringing a Syrian refugee family, now in Lebanon, to Parksville.
