The Steampunk Miniature Metal Sculpture Project

The Steampunk Miniature Metal Sculpture Project is a recycling focused event that is comprised of a Scavenger Hunt to gather metal scrap, a hands-on Workshop to learn how to create metal sculpture, and a 2 week home based effort to use what you have learned to create your final piece. All final sculptures will be returned to the McMillan Arts Centre where they will be juried and the winner will be announced. This is a family focused event where members of a family are encouraged to participate as a pair or a team. It is a great opportunity to introduce the benefits of recycling to participants and give them the full value experience of locating and transforming “junk” into art treasures.
