Little Qualicum Cheeseworks is a small family run cheesemaking facility located on Morningstar Farm in Parksville. Established in 2001, LQC has long been a fixture in the local community and welcomes visitors to explore the farm, meet their 50-cow dairy herd, fill up on fresh milk, and explore a wide range of farmstead artisan cheeses.

Things to do here:

  • Say "hello" to our cows as you embark on a free self-guided tour around the farm.
  • Let our scavenger hunt get you running as you search for clues! Fun for kids & the young at heart.⁠
  • Learn a little about farming, cheesemaking, and how every step from field to fork plays an important role.⁠
  • Pop into our shop to explore a range of cheeses made on site. Not sure what to choose? Pick up a sampler for $5.
  • Discover a host of local goods and gifts in the farm shop, from things to pair with your cheese to things to serve your cheese on.
  • Pick up a delicious latte made with locally roasted coffee beans and our own farm-fresh milk. Or, try a cup of our featured milk flavour of the month.
  • Try out the viral milk-on-tap dispensers! Bring a clean empty bottle or purchase one in the shop.
