Dance with Me at Memorial

Get your groove on at Dance with Me at Memorial hosted by the City of Parksville and the Parksville Downtown Business Association. Events will be held at Memorial Plaza, Alberni Highway and Memorial Avenue, on the fourth Thursday in May, June, July, and August, from 4 to7 pm, rain or shine!

Dance with Me at Memorial is a fun, active and social community event for all ages, intended to encourage diversity and community spirit through dance! Bring your family, friends, or come meet others while you learn new dance moves. No dance experience needed.

Have you ever wanted to try hip hop or line dancing? Well, get out your dancing (runners) shoes as now is your chance, for free. You are encouraged to dress in styles that fit the dances and of course, spectators are welcome. We are planning a kids’ corner with activities such as hopscotch, hula hoops, skipping ropes, and chalk art. There will be food trucks on site as well as a chance to visit Parksville Downtown businesses nearby.

Sarah Raymond Dance Academy will provide free dance instruction with music by our favourite DJ, Dave Graham. Mark your calendars for May 25 (Line dance), June 22 (Hip Hop), July 27 (Salsa) and August 24 (West Coast Swing).
