Rosewell Creek Provincial Park is a closely guarded secret among those who treasure the path less taken. Located on the Oceanside Route Hwy. 19A north of Deep Bay and Bowser, Rosewell Creek Provincial Park is home to a beautiful stand of big-leaf maple trees.
Some six kilometers of hiking trails meander through the coastal Vancouver Island rainforest along the banks of a small creek, the route dotted by a series of picnic tables and highlighted by a small waterfall. In autumn the foliage lights up in a colourful display, and by October the waters are alive with spawning coho salmon. Wheelchair accessible, this lovely, tranquil spot is ideal for a picnic on a hot summer day.
