Winter Wonderland On Ice

It is a holiday tradition to take part in this magical skating event at Oceanside Place Arena. Special lighting and decor makes you feel as though you are skating on an outdoor pond at night. Even if you do not skate, come by and view the lights from the deck. Wheel chairs and strollers are welcome. The public skating schedule with free skating events will be available on November 18th at rdn.bc.ca/recreation.

New Year's Eve Family Celebration

Celebrate New Year's Eve family style at Oceanside Place Arena. Enjoy the last skate of the year on Winter Wonderland, join the family fun pond hockey, make a craft, listen to great entertainment and join in the early countdown at 8:00pm. Tuesday, December 31st from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Tickets required and are available December 10 at Oceanside Place Arena. Free admission is courtesy of Tim Hortons.

Polar Bear Splash

The annual Polar Bear Splash is Wednesday, January 1, 2020, 12 noon at Parksville Beach. Start your New Year with a splash. Come down and join in the fun, either as a spectator, volunteer or participant who takes the splash into the water.

Sign in onsite at 11:30 am and enter to win a prize. This is a free event.
