Murder & Mayhem in Story and Song
Performed by Norma Cameron and Susan Warner of the Mid-Island Storytellers, this engaging show features murder ballads, forbidden love, and dark tales, with a touch of wit and audience participation. This storytelling performance will be held in Parksville Museum Heritage Church. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online or at Parksville Museum.

Macrame Bat Workshop at Ricky's Family Restaurants
If you enjoy fiber arts and crafts, sign up for the Macrame Bat Workshop and create your own Halloween charm. This beginner-friendly workshop is for macrame artists of all levels. Admission costs $24 per person.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade
Spend a fun-filled afternoon at Parksville Museum with your pup! Explore local vendors, visit the pop-up pet gallery and vote for your favourite pets, and, at 1 p.m., watch costumed pets parade around the museum grounds. Admission is by donation, and proceeds support the Parksville Museum.

Scarecrow Spectacular
Make your way to Milner Gardens and Woodland for Halloween-themed festivities. Wander along Scarecrow Lane to admire and vote for your favourite scarecrow, created by local businesses and organizations. Tickets cost $10 per adult and $6 for children who are 12 years of age and under. Current VIU students, alumni and employees, and Milner members can enjoy this event for free.

Sugar Skull or Skull Chalice Workshop
Paint and decorate a white resin sugar skull or chalice for Halloween. This arts and crafts workshop will take place at Nanoose Bay Cafe and tickets cost $25 per person.

Nanoose Bay Halloween Walk
Don't miss the last annual Nanoose Bay Halloween Walk, a three-day spooky celebration, featuring ghost displays, illuminated pumpkins, and eerie music. Discounted advanced printed tickets are available from October 7-20, 2026 and cost $15 per person or $65 for a family pack of five people. In-person admission at the gate of the event costs $20 per person.

Pumpkin Patch Swim
Get ready for a Halloween-themed swim at the Ravensong Aquatic Centre. Come and enjoy Halloween festivities and take home your own pumpkin.

Harvests & Hauntings & Things that go Bump in the Night with Eileen McGann
Join renowned Celtic singer and songwriter Eileen McGann at the Parksville Museum Heritage Church for an enchanting afternoon concert weaving a spell of songs and lore spanning centuries. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online or at Parksville Museum.

Candy Walk
Trick-or-treat to your heart’s delight at Coombs Fairgrounds. Hosted by Arrowsmith Community Recreation Association, the annual Candy Walk offers a safe, well-lit space for your little ones to collect tried-and-true chocolate bars, gummies, lollipops, and more. Admission is by donation.

The Great Parksville Downtown Pumpkin Smash
Bring your pumpkin to Memorial Plaza and watch it be dropped from the top of the Parksville Fire and Rescue ladder truck for an amazing pumpkin smash and send off to Halloween.
