She has been a regular participant in the Sooke Fine Arts Show, Sidney Fine Arts Show and the Oak Bay Studio Tour. She has also exhibited with colleagues at the University of Victoria in the yearly Faculty Show, at Glendale Gardens, Legacy Gallery and with “Artishow” at the Ocean Pointe Resort, Coast Harbourside Hotel and the Inn at Laurel Point.

Hiking Information Session

Have you ever wanted to explore some of the area's beautiful mountains? A local alpine guide shares tips and resources for family adventures and avid hikers. Ask questions before heading out on our guided hikes or self-guided exploration in Regional Parks. Get advice on clothing, equipment and route planning to help you stay safe and enjoy the outdoors.

Note: This course is MANDATORY for all new participants in the Alpine Hikes. Session is on Wednesday May 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Oceanside Place Arena, and cost is $14 per person.

'Moments of Joy' Exhibition by Laurel Hibbert

Laurel Hibbert was born and raised in Lachine Quebec. She attended Macdonald College of McGill University. Upon moving to British Columbia in 1989, she attended the University of Victoria where she received a further teaching degree. Laurel taught a total of 40 years before retiring in 2009.

Upon retiring she began to paint and soon discovered that her unique style was the beginning of a new career.

Strap on your walking shoes and join the Sole Sisters walking group. This program is held every Wednesday at various locations around the Oceanside area and is intended for women 50+, but all ages are welcome.
