If you've been thinking about trying Zentangle(R), or you want to get back into it, there are a number of classes coming up at the MAC that will fit the bill. Certified Zentangle Teacher Rhonda Roy will be teaching four classes this fall at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville.
Zentangle Basics - September 9th (10-1) is a three-hour introduction to the Zentangle method. Even people who think they can't draw enjoy learning about Zentangle, and they are pleasantly surprised at what they can do. Zentangle Basics is a prerequisite for all the other classes.
Zentangle 3Z Mosaics - October 7th (10-1) is a follow-up class to the Basics. Using triangular tiles and exploring the mosaic concept, this is a great follow-up class, a refresher, or just a fun spin on regular Zentangle.
Reticula and Fragments class - November 4th (10-1), is geared for people who have been doing Zentangle for a while. It's an intermediate level class for tanglers who want to go beyond established tangle patterns to create their own.
Zentangle Holiday Calm - December 2nd (10-1) is a chance to catch your breath during a busy holiday season, and have some relaxing time just for yourself. It's a 'mental spa day' for tanglers (who have taken the Basics class).
All classes are $47.50, with materials included. Classes will be held at the McMillan Arts Centre from 10 am to 1 pm. For more information and registration, visit www.atanglinglife.com.
