Driftwood on Parksville Beach
Parksville is beautiful all year around. Even if it's cold outside, walking along the Parksville beach is always amazing. We found this huge tree at the beach the other day, and I couldn't resist taking a photo with this huge piece of nature! - Maki McPhee, myPQB Story Contest

Road trip to Parksville! The kids had a wonderful time combing the beach for shells and other treasure. Such a fond memory of Parksville. - Darlene Hildebrand, myPQB Story Contest

Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville on a sunny afternoon
Wonderful Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville on a sunny afternoon in May. You can walk forever on the flat sandy beach and when the tide comes in and the water is warmed by the sun, it can be as warm as bath water. We've been visiting here, camping, etc. for 33 years and in September we moved to Qualicum Beach! Paradise! - Jo-Anne Monahan, myPQB Story Contest

The Nose at Top Bridge
No story about PQB would be complete without Parksville's favourite swimming hole. The Nose at Top Bridge Park is a jump off point for many a brave local. This photo was taken years ago when my kids were little but aside from the suspension bridge, this place hasn't changed over the years. There are even petroglyphs from swimmers very early on! - Carrie Powell-Davidson, myPQB Story Contest F

Rare Parksville Lightning Storm
This was taken late July 2016. It was very clear where I was however, just a few kilometres away toward French Creek, there was a lightning storm taking place for over 3 hours. I caught 12 amazing shots and this is the one I chose to submit. I chose this because of the rare occasion. - Chris Dempsey, myPQB Story Contest
