Laurel Hibbert was born and raised in Lachine Quebec. She attended Macdonald College of McGill University. Upon moving to British Columbia in 1989, she attended the University of Victoria where she received a further teaching degree. Laurel taught a total of 40 years before retiring in 2009.

Mount Horne Guided Hike
Embarking on this hike from the spectacular Cathedral Grove, this tour will take you through both man-made and natural elements that remind us of the history of the area. The scenic climb ends with a rocky scramble to the top of the bluff where you can see out to Mount Arrowsmith Massif and the Alberni Inlet. Hike intensity rating is 2 stars: long stretches of steady incline and steep terrain.
