Learn to Harvest: From Farm to TableLearn to Harvest: From Farm to Table

What: Would you like to learn how to correctly harvest food fresh from the garden? Join us on a farm tour where we show you how to pick your favourite fruits, vegetables and greens! Remember, there's no such thing as a silly question!

More details: Many people have lost their connection with their food, not having the time to plant a garden and experience the joys of harvesting. This is an important learning experience for both adults and children and will leave you with an added appreciation of how food is grown. We guarantee that it will taste better from farm to plate!

Some of the crops available for harvest include carrots, squash, tomatoes, basil, beets, kale, collards, broccoli, chard, radishes, arugula, herbs, apples, pears, grapes?

At 12pm Barbara will be sharing a checklist for successful winter planting.

We will also have a transplant sale of selected varieties of winter vegetables - all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Perhaps you will find a favourite that you'd like to plant at home!

Please bring closed in shoes, a hat, and water-bottle. Note: All produce you harvest will need to be purchased afterwards!

We hope to see you soon.
