Art Bites - The Secrets of Grisaille with Margery Blom

Art Bites is all about low-risk experimenting. Try something out – see if you like the materials and the medium. Each 2-hour workshop is $45 with all materials and supplies included. Class Description: Join Oil paint artist, Margery Blom in a simple oil painting technique called Grisaille which involves painting a black and white, monochromatic image in acrylic, then applying transparent oil paint as a stain. This method is a form of indirect painting, where the initial layer establishes the tonal values, and the final layer adds colour, transparency, and depth.
