Brant Wildlife Festival “Lift Off” Opening Celebration

April 10, 2026 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Join us for a special evening celebrating 35 years of connecting our community with nature in the Oceanside area!

This special celebratory evening will open with a welcoming ceremony by Ćumqwa:tun Mitchell of the Snaw-naw-as First Nation.

Followed by a presentation exploring one of the region’s most important habitats for migratory birds and coastal wildlife, the Parksville–Qualicum Beach Wildlife Management Area, by Shawn Lukas of The Nature Trust of BC. The presentation will provide an overview of what the management area is, the wildlife found there and how it is managed, with plenty of time for questions and discussion about Wildlife Management Areas and conservation in our region.

Following the presentation, we will enjoy live music, appetizers, and an opportunity to connect with one another, community members, conservation partners, and friends of the biosphere.

Doors open at 5:00 pm with cash. Tickets are $50.00 and available here at:
