Drawing, Sketching & Constructed Perspective with Dorota Goede
10AM - 12PM
In this series, students will learn the essential principles and practical applications of drawing lines, curves, and geometric three-dimensional forms, as well as techniques for measuring angles and proportions for accurate transfer onto paper or canvas. Participants will develop observational skills, learn to recognize and simplify shapes, and construct correct perspective. Classes will include drawing from live arranged setups as well as instruction on effectively using photographic reference images. Principles of composition, page layout, and framing considerations will also be explored.
The course will provide practical drawing applications tailored to students’ individual artistic goals and projects, reflecting methods commonly practiced by contemporary artists. Historical art precedents and accomplished reference works will further reinforce learning concepts and techniques. Completed drawings will become valuable studies and keepsakes for students to frame, reference, and continue developing through future practice.
