NANAIMO CONCERT BAND Make ‘em Laugh! Summer Concert. Music and comedy go together like Wayne & Shuster or Steve Martin & Martin Short. On stage and screen, music just makes funny funnier! Under the Musical Direction of Scott MacInnes, the Nanaimo Concert Band is going to make you smile this summer with some musical hilarity. You’ll hear your favourite TV comedy themes, music for circus clowns, and some musical humour from Spike Jone’s antics to Leroy Anderson’s typewriter. The more than 45 members of the Nanaimo concert band are community members from Nanaimo and the surrounding area – your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. A group of talented and dedicated musicians with a common purpose, to bring great quality concert band music to the people of Nanaimo and the surrounding communities.
