Qualicum Beach Pride Flag Raising Ceremony

Through the work of many volunteers, residents and neighbours of Qualicum Beach we are so excited to invite you to celebrate inclusion and diversity in our beloved town. Our town has been raising the Pride flag for 5 years, so we wanted to celebrate with a community-led public flag raising ceremony.

This event is for everyone and meant to celebrate that our town welcomes and celebrates all diversity. We are stronger together. If you can make it, please come join us on Monday, June 1st at 10 am in front of Town Hall.

We will be honouring trans elder Mardi Pieronek. Mayor Westbroek and other dignitaries have kindly offered to join us and share greetings and thoughts. Please come celebrate inclusion and 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride with community members from all over. All who come in kindness are welcome. This is an all ages event meant to help all generations, families and communities feel more welcome, safe and included in our town. Mark your calendars. See you there.
