The Old School House Arts Centre
For more than 35 years, TOSH has been the creative heart of Qualicum Beach.
Housed in a historic building with over a century of history, The Old School House Arts Centre is a charitable non-profit society where locals and visitors alike can experience art up close, learn something new, and connect with the region’s culture.
About The Old School House Arts Centre
Built in 1912, The Old School House has always been a place for learning. It served Qualicum Beach students at the elementary and secondary levels for four decades, and the Board of Education kept offices in the building until 1985.
When the building faced an uncertain future, a group of dedicated community members formed a non-profit cultural association. Fuelled by volunteer hours, fundraising events, and a shared belief in what the building could become, they renovated it from the ground up. TOSH opened its doors to the public in February 1988 and has been growing ever since.
