About the Parksville Museum
The Parksville Museum's roots go back to 1975, when a group of dedicated residents stepped in to save the Knox Heritage Church from being demolished. They went on to form the Parksville & District Historical Society in 1976 and worked with the City of Parksville to secure land for a heritage park. When the Knox Church was relocated to the park in 1983, it marked the official start of what would become the museum visitors know today.
