Lighthouse Country has become a well-known fly-fishing destination, both for tidal shore casting and for the famously restored Nile Creek.

There are dozens more spots along our rivers and lakes for freshwater fishing. Cameron Lake and Englishman River are two popular locations. Cameron Lake offers family-friendly park facilities and is known for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout, prickly sculpin, and kokanee, which spawn there in late fall. While fishing is not permitted within Englishman River Falls Provincial Park, you can find many spots along the river outside of the park’s boundaries. Englishman River is known for cutthroat trout and steelhead trout. In late summer, you may find chinook salmon, and in late fall, you can fish for coho salmon and chum salmon.
