Community Spotlight Series: Nanoose Bay Cafe
Our Community Spotlight Series lets you learn more about our locals and what they love about living and doing business in Parksville Qualicum Beach. We're thrilled to feature Nanoose Bay Cafe as this month's Community Spotlight.
Nanoose Bay Cafe is the newest restaurant from veteran hospitality partners and owners of the Qualicum Beach Cafe - Eli Brennan, Alan Tse, and Chef Todd Bright.
Nanoose Bay Cafe proudly showcases the best of BC with a focus on local producers and suppliers including coffee from French Press Coffee Roasters and artisan goods stocked in the marketplace. Tucked into Schooner Cove, the menu features West Coast cuisine with Asian influences plus light fare in the coffee shop.
We spoke to Nanoose Bay Cafe's Eli Brennan about life in Parksville Qualicum Beach and some of his favourite local spots.
How would you describe the place you live to someone who is yet to visit?
"Relax in Paradise" – After living in the city for 20 years and moving back to the Island where I grew up, it's the best way to describe it."
What do you love about where you live?
"There are so many highlights to this area, but two that stand out are the community and the beaches. The people are kind and welcoming, and the beaches are varied and wonderful, depending on what experience one is looking for."
